Abhishikta Roy is a trained classical singer and inclined towards music wholeheartedly. In early childhood she initiated her musical training from Sri Satya Chowdhury, the renowned name in Bengali songs. Then she was trained by Smt. Anima Bhattacharya, the direct disciple of Kaji Nazrul Islam, in all genres of classical music. At the age of six, she began to aspire music in Sangeet Research Academy under the prospective guidance of Smt. Chandana Chakraborty and Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty. In 1999, she entered into the music kingdom Shrutinandan and completed her classical training in Patiyala Gharana with great endeavour.
Her forte and specialization is Bangla Gaan, Nazrulgeeti, Adhunik, Raag Pradhan, Bhajans.
