A 'Jiggle' Maneuver Fixes The Hubble Telescope
  • 5 years ago

According to Mother Nature Network, NASA has fixed the Hubble Telescope with a “jiggle” maneuver.
In October, the Hubble Space Telescope placed itself into safe mode after one of its three gyroscopes failed.
On Oct. 19, the Hubble team performed a series of shakes and switches of high to low mode on the gyroscopes to clear any issues. So far, the unit appears to once more be spinning within operational limits.
All signs point to the series of shakes and switches working. On Oct.
