Producer prices in South Korea fell last month,...marking the first decline in about a year.
The Bank of Korea says the production price index, a barometer of future consumer inflation, edged down zero-point-four percent on-month in October.
The central bank attributed the drop to a sharp fall in agricultural goods prices, down near 10 percent on-month, with the prices of lettuce and white radish falling by double digits on higher supply in October after a relatively low supply due to the heat wave during summer.
Prices of industrial goods, electricity and gas remained flat last month.
