Tornado rips through New Zealand's South Island

A tornado touched down in Canterbury, located on New Zealand's South Island, on Sunday afternoon.
"I was working in a field right next to where the tornado went past. Unsure whether to get closer for a better look or run away, I stayed next to the tractor and filmed it go past," Matt, who shot the video, said. "As it went past it got very cold and the wind became very strong."
While witnesses on social media said the experience of seeing the tornado go by was frightening and dramatic, authorities have had no reports of damage.
