Germany's Merkel Promotes Peace At Forum, Trump Doesn't Attend

The leaders of Germany and France called for a unified approach to creating world peace at a forum in Paris on Sunday. According to Reuters, dozens of heads of state attended the Paris Peace Forum with the exception of US President Donald Trump.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel warned that “blinkered” nationalism was gaining ground in Europe and beyond. Merkel said, “Most of the challenges today cannot be solved by one nation alone, but together. That’s why we need a common approach."
