Kanak flags out in Noumea as N. Caledonia preps for referendum

As New Caledonia counts down to referendum day, pro-independence activists are out in force in Noumea. The tiny French territory in the remote Pacific goes to the polls Sunday to decide whether to seek independence from its rulers on the other side of the world.
