Panasonic HS950 S-VHS VCR overhaul and head cleaning

Here is a Panasonic NV-HS950 S-VHS VCR that has been in the family since new. Despite being treated very well throughout its life, an overhaul is quite beneficial to the performance of the device. Video about the HS900: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csdxKnywhaU
NOTE: This video was recorded in early 2015 but was not edited and published then because as it turned out later the "Digital Process" circuit does seem to have some intermittent problem that results in strange, blocky artifacts in the output signal. I was going to fix that problem as part of this video, but never did.
The VCR is still in my possession but so far I didn't have the time to try and diagnose the intermittent problem.
