There is a small club of troubled movies that have gone on to become stone cold classics, among them Casablanca, Blade Runner, Apocalypse Now, Gone With The Wind, Titanic. Now to that group we can add Ratatouille.

When Brad Bird (The Incredibles) came to the movie it was having major story troubles and original director Jan Pinkavar had left the project and Pixar. After some fine re-crafting, Bird has created a film that ranks among the studios best, a delightfully sophisticated story of a rat who wants to become a chef.

We sat down with producer Brad Lewis to talk about rescuing the film, learning to cook from rodents and why the hell youd put vermin in a kids movie.
