In India, there is one government doctor for every 10,000 people. One government hospital bed, for every 2,000 people and one state-run hospital for every 90,000 people. Patients routinely share beds and doctors always overworked. A systemic rot that reflects sheer apathy mismanagement and inadequate resources and so the question that needs to be asked is why is health care simply not a big enough priority for any govt?
