6 Persons have died of h1n1 in Karnataka so far. Around 450 people have been found h1n1 positive. Bengaluru has witnessed over 44 cases of h1n1 since January and all the six deaths due to h1n1 have been in Bengaluru. After Bengaluru, the highest number of positive cases were seen in Shivamoga district of Karnataka with 43 positive cases recorded since January. Unpredictable weather has been attributed as one of the reasons for the sudden surge in cases. About 3,000 houses have reportedly been surveyed to identify swine flu patients and tamiflu tablets are being distributed to the family members of the affected.
