J&K: Pak terrorists 'fear' fails in civic polls, Is PDP-NC 'boycott' backfire?

Never has so much been owed by so few to so many was churchill's tribute to the royal air force that warded off a British invasion. It's not always the heroes and legends that bring change, it's most often the people of a land that scarce find any mention. For most of us, Kashmiri politics is Mehbooba, Omar and Farooq. The separatists are Geelani and Mirwaiz. That's a false assumption. Kashmiri politics is the Kashmiri people. Democracy is their voice, which they have yelled from the rooftops against. almost half of Kashmiri voters came out today in the 1st of three phases of the local body polls, that haven't been held in 13 years. They ignored the threats of terror and intimidation from Pak terrorists. They ignored their own grand leaders boycotting the polls. Every vote cast has sent a message to Islamabad, Rawalpindi. Every vote caste has stung the NC and PDP who were expecting much less. What does this now mean for Kashmiri politics and the voice of Indians living in Kashmir. That's the question tonight. here's what's happened.
