An Iraqi social media influencer and model with more than 2.7 million followers on Instagram has been killed. Business Insider reports that she was shot dead in a gun attack on Thursday in the capital city of Baghdad.
Tara Fares was a lifestyle, style, and travel enthusiast. She was a sensation on social media in the country, where she posted Arabic-language content.
It is not yet clear who might have carried out the attack, or why. Fares was the only victim.
