Michelle Obama: I'm 'Sick' Of 'Nastiness' In Our Politics

Michelle Obama on Sunday said she's "sick" of all the "nastiness" in our politics.

Former first lady Michelle Obama told a rally crowd on Sunday that she's "sick" of the "nastiness" in politics.   The comment was made in Las Vegas at an event for "When We All Vote," an organization she launched during the summer. "Believe me, I am frustrated, too. I am sick of all the chaos and the nastiness of our politics," Obama said. "It's exhausting and, frankly, it's depressing. I understand wanting to shut it all out."
"But here's the problem. While some folks are frustrated and tuned out and staying home on Election Day, trust me, other folks are showing up," she further noted. "Democracy continues with or without you." The former first lady also pointed out: "When you don't vote…you're letting other people make decisions for you. We get the leaders we vote for. We get the policies we vote for. And when we don't vote, that's when we wind up with the government of, by and for other people."
