Trump Responds To NYT Rosenstein Report: 'A Very Sad Story'

President Trump has responded to the explosive New York Times' story on Rod Rosenstein.

President Trump called the New York Times' report about Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein "a very sad story," notes Fox News.   Trump, in an interview with Geraldo Rivera on WTAM radio, placed the blame on Attorney Jeff Sessions as he'd "hired" Rosenstein.
"I haven't gotten all the facts, but certainly it's being looked at in terms of what took place. If anything took place and I'll make a determination sometime later, but I don't have the facts," Trump also said. The Times reported on Friday, citing sources, that Rosenstein had inquired about covertly recording Trump.  He is also said to have suggested invoking the 25th Amendment, which is used when the president lacks the capacity to lead. The Times noted: "Mr. Rosenstein made these suggestions in the spring of 2017 when Mr. Trump's firing of James B. Comey as F.B.I. director plunged the White House into turmoil. Over the ensuing days, the president divulged classified intelligence to Russians in the Oval Office, and revelations emerged that Mr. Trump had asked Mr. Comey to pledge loyalty and end an investigation into a senior aide."
