'Avengers: Infinity War' Passes 'Titanic' at the US Box Office 'Avengers: Infinity War' wrapped up its box office run as the fourth highest grossing movie in North American history. The film raked in $678.8 million in
just five months, beating out 'Titanic'
by almost $20 million. Globally, the Marvel Cinematic Universe
(MCU) film brought in over $2 billion,
earning the number four spot for the
all-time world box office as well. 'Avengers: Infinity War' crushed
2018 records, but it wasn't the
highest grossing MCU film of the year in the U.S. 'Black Panther' had the film beat
by almost $22 million for the
number three domestic box office spot. 'Avatar' ($760.5 million)
came in at number two. 'The Force Awakens'
($936.6 million) sits
strong at number one. When it comes to the worldwide box office, James Cameron's 'Avatar' and 'Titanic'
are the top grossing movies of all time.
