ISLAMABAD: During his visit of National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa stressed on the youth to “strive for excellence,” Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR), said in a statement.

While advising students to ask themselves to do whatever “they can do for their country”, COAS emphasized on the youth to augment their academic excellence, the statement said.

Recognizing the improvement in NUST’s standing at the international level of university ranking, COAS lauded the contribution of the university.

The media wing of the armed forces stated that General Bajwa, in his address at the NUST Islamabad campus, appreciated the pivotal role of the university “in producing a stream of scholars and engineers of highest caliber.” NUST is a leading University in Pakistan, having its presence in all four provinces after establishment of Quetta Campus, COAS said.

Earlier on arrival at NUST, COAS was received by Lieutenant General (Retd) Naveed Zaman, the Rector of NUST.
