‘Crazy Rich Asians’ Director Asked Coldplay To Use ‘Yellow’

Rolling Stone reports that musical group Coldplay initially rejected Warner Brother's request to use their song "Yellow" in the film 'Crazy Rich Asians."
"Yellow" is often used as a derogatory term to describe Asian people.
Warner Bros. also didn't know if the song’s "title and placement" in the new Rom-Com would stir up controversy.
But ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ Director Jon M. Chu wanted to repurpose the word.
