Archbishop Of Washington Pulls Out Of Ireland Congress Amid Sexual Abuse Scandal

According to a report by Reuters, on Saturday, Cardinal Donald Wuerl, the Archbishop of Washington, has become the second senior cleric to withdraw from this week's World Meeting of Families in Dublin, amid global sexual abuse scandals involving the Roman Catholic Church. The meeting, held every three years, will be attended by Pope Francis, who will be making the first papal visit to Ireland in almost 40 years.
