S. Korea, U.S. confirm peaceful nuclear cooperation at High Level Bilateral Commission

Officials from South Korea and the United States met in Washington for a high-level meeting on the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
Seoul's Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cho Hyun, and the Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy, Dan Brouillette, agreed that their cooperation not only helps expand nuclear exports, but also supports non-proliferation and nuclear security.
They promised to form a working-level group to hold further discussions.
This is the second plenary meeting of a forum called the High Level Bilateral Commission.
Its maiden gathering was two years ago, and the third one will be held next year in Seoul.
