Good morning, those of us in Seoul will appreciate the slightly cooler temperatures today And welcome rain will bring some brief relief from the heat.

Seoul will see 20 to 40 millimeters of somewhat heavy rain in the afternoon, southern regions are likely to see showers on Friday.

Highs in Seoul will be a couple of notches lower than yesterday, getting up to 32 degrees Celsius, Gwangju will be blistering hot again at 36 degrees.

Readings will jump back to sweltering levels on Friday in Seoul but southern regions will have much more bearable temperatures.

With that, let's take a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.

Welcome rain will bring slight relief to the northern parts of South Korea, and North Korea will also see more showers.

Typhoon Shanshan is approaching Japan and bringing with it strong winds... increasing the risk of coastal flooding along the eastern coastline.

Over in Australia, wet weather continues in Perth and the south east.

In the U.S., the National Weather Service issued an excessive heat warning to the LA area.

As for South America, Brazil's two major cities will have promising weather on Wednesday.

For those in the UK, a spell of cooler and wetter weather caused by Arctic air engulfing the UK could bring summer to an early end.

Lastly to Africa, Dakar will have rain on Thursday but sunshine returns on Friday.
