Grado Labs have been making headphones since 1961 and has been proudly housed in the same building in Brooklyn since its founding, tied together by a strong loyalty to its heritage. Its founder Joseph Grado has developed more headphone innovations than anyone in our lifetime, responsible for inventing the stereo moving coil phono cartridge and holding more than 48 patents. The family-run and owned business has seen three generations of Grado's come through, and with each generation, one big thing hasn't changed -- its reliance on word of mouth instead of traditional marketing.
