Bonnie Tyler est une chanteuse britannique, née Gaynor Hopkins le 8 juin 1951 à Skewen au Pays de Galles.

Elle est célèbre pour la chanson It's A Heartache en 1978, Total Eclipse Of The Heart en 1983, et Si Demain (Turn Around), avec Kareen Antonn en 2004, plus de 2 million d’exemplaires de ce disque se sont vendus dans le monde. Elle a travaillé pour Mike Oldfield en prêtant sa voix au titre Islands, sur l'album du même nom en 1987. Elle est connue par la nouvelle génération pour la création en 2004 de Holding Out for a Hero, titre-phare du film Shrek 2.
