Dr. Christopher J. Nagy, graduated from St. John Lateran University in Rome, Italy in 1984 with a BPh in Philosophy and a BTh in Theology in 1987. While in Rome, he also earned his MA in Theology from St. Thomas University. He earned his M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and administrator certifications from Lehigh University in 1993. Dr. Nagy earned his Ed.D. from Widener University in Educational Administration in 2006 and was the first in his class to publish his dissertation as a book. In 2016, Dr. Nagy earned his Certification in Applied Positive Psychology from the Flourishing Center in New York City.

In education from more than 20 years, Dr. Nagy has served in positions as Latin and Theology teacher, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent and three years as a superintendent of schools in the Northern Valley Regional High School District and Region 3 Autism Center in Bergen County and is completing his second year as Superintendent of the Burlington County Institute of Technology and Burlington County Special Services School Districts. Dr. Nagy also teaches graduate and doctoral classes at Delaware Valley University and Rider University related to curriculum and instruction, leadership, educational technology, special education, politics, diversity and societal change. He is the former NJPSA Regional Mentor for principals, supervisors and administrators, former NJ Department of Education Legal Chair for the Board of Examiners, past president of his administrative associations, and most recently, is the treasurer for the New Jersey Council of County Vocational Technical Schools.

Dr. Nagy is an author of a book based on his dissertation, published leadership, technology and applied positive psychology articles for the American Association of School Administrators, Linkedin and the NJ Trade and Union Magazine. He also maintains a blog for both of his school districts.

Dr. Nagy’s most recent accomplishment came in November when he was named as a 2017 Burlington County New Jersey Emerging Leader by the Burlington County Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Burlington County Times.
