Karthi's Kadaikutty Singam, directed by Pandiraj is a family drama, which speaks the importance of agriculture and farmers. From the time Pandiraj’s Kadaikutty Singam went on floors, it was tipped as a family movie set against a village backdrop. Staying true to its genre and expectations, the story revolves around a large family, headed by Ranasingam (Sathyaraj). Though a father of five girls, he is a little upset about not having a son with his wife (Viji Chandrasekhar). He gets married to another lady (Bhanupriya), and hopes of fulfilling his wish of being a father to a baby boy even in his 50s.Karthi steals the show as a proud farmer who is hopeful of the state of agriculture in the country.
