Dr. David Stout was named interim president of Brookdale Community College on July 1, 2017. Previously, as Vice President for Student Success at Brookdale, he served as the chief student services officer of the college overseeing Recruitment, Admissions, Registration, Academic Advising, Financial Aid, Student Engagement, Counseling, Student Conduct & Compliance, EOF, Disability Services, Career Services, Athletics, Student Life and Activities, the International Education Center, the Veterans Center, and Testing Services. He also serves as a member of the President's Cabinet and Senior Executive Leadership Team.

Prior to becoming the Vice President for Student Success, Dr. Stout served as a Learning Assistant in the Psychology Department, Student Development Specialist for Social Sciences and students with disabilities, Associate Professor of Psychology and Human Services, and Dean of the Freehold Campus. During his 14 years as a member of the Brookdale faculty, Dr. Stout was the recipient of several awards for outstanding collegiality, student service, and teaching. His college-wide service included two terms as vice-chair of Governance, one term as chair of Governance, two terms as president of the Brookdale Faculty Association, and multiple terms as chair of the Student Development, Institutional Planning, and Honors Committees. David holds a Masters Degree in Psychological Counseling and a Ph.D. in Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine.
