The current Hyundai Tucson compact crossover, which launched in 2010, is a huge improvement over its predecessor, with more attractive styling and loads of features for the money. But its base four-cylinder engine is weak and its stiff suspension makes for a choppy ride. Changes coming for 2014 should correct those key deficiencies and add even more amenities to an already impressive list.
