Hero firefighters risked their lives to swim through flash floods to save a couple stranded on a tractor. In the dramatic footage, captured in Aksu City in northwestern Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region on June 23, two firefighters tied by ropes try to walk through the rapid floodwater to approach the couple – also becoming trapped in the process. Then, other firefighters and policemen try to set up an anchor point to pull a zip line across the river. The two heroic firemen are dragged back through the zip line and the couple is carried to reach the bank. Two rescue vehicles and 12 soldiers were sent on site, where it took more than four hours to save the couple. According to reports, the couple tried to drive across the flooded river but got stuck in the middle of it. Thanks to the rescuers, the couple was not injured seriously.
