The Federation International Football Association (FIFA) has announced the official exclusive image of the 2018 World Cup. This short video will be played during the opening ceremony and each live match.
A 45-second video was posted on FIFA's official Youtube channel on June 1.
Trailer introduces viewers to the scenic, symbol of the host country Russia. The video ends with Faberge's Easter-egg-shaped globe and the golden cup of World Cup 2018.
Some Internet users commented that the video was similar to the US picture of "The Game of Thrones" and most of the comments were positive.
This special video was designed by Hans Zimmer, inspired by a series of Easter Eggs designed by Russian author Peter Carl Faberge.
Mr. Zimmer simulates World Cup 2018 with a variety of details, highlighted by transparent diamonds. Each diamond is a country that has won the World Cup, namely: Brazil, Uruguay, England, Italy, Argentina, France, Spain and Germany.
The video also highlights the richness of Russian culture through icons: Saint Petersburg Open Bridge, Mother Motherland Monument in Volgograd, space ship, Kremlin, Red Square ...
World Cup 2018 takes place in Russia for the first time from June 14 2018 to July 15 2018. The matches will take place on 12 stadiums in 11 Russian cities.
