While parts of Trinidad experienced torential rainfall and lightning strikes, the cherished memories of a Penal family were destroyed in a house fire on Monday.
Marlene Turner Franklyn, owner of the three-bedroom house, said everything her family owned went up in flames when fire broke out at around 1.30pm.
But most painful, she said, was losing the memories she had gathered over the years.
