According to Digital Trends, the US Supreme Court sided with privacy in a recent case involving cell phone records and law enforcement.
In a 5-to-4 decision, the nation's top court determined that law enforcement officers require a warrant before they can legally obtain cell phone records to track individuals.
Although the court provided exceptions for police in emergency situations, those are related to the immediate enforcement of law.
