5 Star Wrestling is British wrestling promotion, quickly becoming known for putting on huge shows with large scale production levels, and bringing in the biggest available stars from around the wrestling world, to tussle with the best home grown talent in the country.

Last year, the company hosted arguably the biggest match up to take place on UK soil in decades, as current WWE headliner AJ Styles, finally went one-on-one with the legendary Rey Mysterio, in a dream match up that had been talked about as a possibility for years. To this day, the historic contest has still only happened in a 5 Star ring and the match has been seen by over a million viewers to date.

Then in January of this year, 5 Star Wrestling became the first ever British wrestling promotion to broadcast an event LIVE on national TV. During the show, John Morrison successfully defended the 5 Star Championship in a spectacular one-night tournament, pinning the aforementioned Rey Mysterio in the final, but it was perhaps his semi-final match against Scottish born and recently re-signed WWE star Drew Galloway that stole the show.

Following these history-making moments and achievements, now comes the news that 5 Star Wrestling are launching the biggest tournament in wrestling history, whilst simultaneously becoming the first British promotion to run a full-blown arena tour, spread across 30 weeks, featuring over 128 of the best wrestlers from around the globe at the biggest arenas in the country. Entrants in the 5* Wrestling World Championships will see the very best unsigned names from around the world come together. There are some massive announcements to come across the next few weeks, but already announced for various dates across the tournament include:

* 5 Star Wrestling Champion and movie star: John Morrison

* Former WWE stars Carlito, Chris Masters, PJ Black & Shelton Benjamin

* Former NFL star and current IMPACT Grand Champion: Moose

* IMPACT wrestling star & current World of Sport (WOS) Champion: Grado

* ITV WOS stars Zack Gibson & Kenny Williams

* Lucha Underground stars Angelico & Shane Strickland

* British stars such as Jack Jester, Kid Fite, ‘Showstealer’ Nathan Cruz, Flash Morgan Webster, BT Gunn & many more

The tour starts on Saturday 10th June at Liverpool Echo Arena and culminates at the Manchester Evening News Arena on Saturday 30th December with a massive, year-ending show. The 30 dates will run right across the UK, with the cities set to host these ground-breaking events including Liverpool, Blackburn, Aberdeen, Newcastle, Belfast, Sheffield, Leeds, Birmingham, Dundee, Cardiff, Belfast, Manchester & London. Tickets for many of the events are already on sale with the rest being made available every day.

Over the 30 weeks in the 5* Wrestling World Championships, fans will witness the biggest wrestling tournament in history along with the formation of exciting new championship divisions and some truly huge match ups, as 5 Star Wrestling strives to become the UK’s largest wrestling promotion.
