Vintage Pictures Of Burma In 1977

Beautiful pictures show untouched Burma taken by a western backpacker during a trip in 1981. Shots include the famous Shwedagon Pagoda and other scenes include local women making pottery, fisherman in a fleet of wooden boats, the country’s iconic temples and its lush green landscape. Burma, also known as Mayanmar, spent years in isolation but tourist arrivals reached almost five million in 2015 after a government drive to boost the industry.
