Masseria San Nicola was built by the Prince of Carbonelli in about
1600. It was subsequently cured by the Camicia family in 1800 as a summer residence.
It was originally known as Masseria delle Seti, after which the name was changed to Masseria San Nicola as a sign of devotion to the patron saint of Bari.
The Giardini della Masseria San Nicola are in line with the typical nineteenth-century garden of Apulian villas and palaces: it is surrounded by walls and equipped with walking paths and above all rich in perfumes and colors: from bougainvillea to citrus fruits, from aromatic plants to roses .
