"Once" 2004

Nightwish est un groupe de metal symphonique finlandais formé en 1996 à Kitee, dans la région de la Carélie du Nord. Il est considéré comme l'un des représentants du genre et comme l'un des groupes responsables du gain de popularité qu'a connu le metal symphonique à la fin des années 1990.

Cet album est du plus pur style Nightwish, qui y interprète une musique aux orientations métal et symphoniques plus poussées que sur leurs précédents albums. Le style est donc sans concession, rapide et complexe, ce qui rend les morceaux moins faciles d'accès, et nécessite plusieurs écoutes. C'est aussi un de leurs albums le plus abouti et travaillé.
