Finance Minister highlights drastic deregulation for innovative growth

The South Korean government is looking to spur innovative growth through deregulation and financial assistance.
Finance Minister Kim Dong-yeon said, during an economy-related minister's meeting,... that the government will offer funding and other incentives to eight key sectors like smart farms, smart factories, electric vehicles and artificial intelligence to promote an innovative growth environment.
Kim also pointed out that the government should play a central role to help companies and markets create a venture-friendly environment. The government is aiming to help create over 100-thousand startups this year.
