‘Billboard’ Brings Back ‘Songs of the Summer’ Chart ‘Billboard’ is reprising the chart, which will track the summer’s most popular tunes between June 9 and Sep. 8. The most popular songs have the most weekly streams, airplay and sales, which are pulled from the Hot 100 chart. The first banger on the Songs of the Summer chart is Drake’s “Nice For What,” which ranks at No. 1, followed by Post Malone’s “Psycho,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign at No. 2. To complete the top 5, in order from No. 3 to No. 5, are Drake’s “God’s Plan,” “Childish Gambino’s “This Is America,” “and Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey’s “The Middle.” Last year, the No. 1 song of the summer was Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito” remix, featuring Justin Bieber.
