  • 6 年前
Hi there, my name is Fabian, and you are watching fabela iMag. Today I am going to show you a review of Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which conquered the iOS-charts in record time. I will answer one of your most asked questions first: Need for Speed - Most Wanted is not an open world game! And to answer a second question directly: Need for Speed - Most Wanted is a fantastic game - but still far from perfect!\r
\r
In Need for Speed: Most Wanted you can choose from various racing events which are placed on a city map. The principle is similar to the Asphalt , where you have to unlock the races one after another and where the race-events are divided into different car-classes. In some races you can participate only with SUVs, on others you have to choose an everyday car, and sometimes you can only take part with a muscle car, a GT or a sports cars. The developers have integrated over 35 licensed cars, eg the Ford Focus, the Jaguar XKR and the Porsche 911 Turbo. If you dont have the corresponding vehicle for the event in your garage, you have to buy it before you can start. If you dont have enough money, you have to race already completed races again to get the prize money. Also in the race itself, there are several tasks that you have to fulfill. In classic racing events, it might be enough to drive the top three, but in duels you have definitely to defeat your rivals. In other events you only have to race againt the clock. But one thing is certain: the police is always in hot pursuit on you and tries to stop you with roadblocks and some daredevil maneuvers. They succeed rare, but it provides plenty of fun if you sent a police car in a spectacular takedown in the track wall. But beware: Every jostle with other cars and with the track barrier will damage your car. If you damaged it too badly, the race is over and you have to try it again.\r

Technically, Need for Speed: Most Wanted is a big step from the last iOS Need for Speed. The graphics are fast, sharp and look really good. The car-windows reflect the environment, at night many lights illuminate the race track as well as the skyline and when the track is wet you can see the asphalt shine. A smart blur effect illustrates the speed increase when you use the turbo. The sound fits the game perfectly with lots of police radio messages, spectacular sound effects and a typical EA rock soundtrack. Here really is nothing to complain about.\r
\r
Nevertheless, I find that EA has wasted a little potential with Need for Speed: Most Wanted. The track design is considerably better than the one in its predecessor, but the tracks are too similar for my taste. Also, the ual events repeat too often. In addition, EA has built in just two control methods. A tilt control and a touchscreen controll with a small virtual steering wheel on the left side on the screen. In both variants, you ivate the turbo by swiping up and you drift by tap and hold on the right side of the screen. \r
The tilt control works on the basis of the wide track layouts really excellent, the steering wheel is not quite as good. My favorite racing game touchscreen control by tapping the left and right to move around on the screen was unfortunately not integrated. Moreover, there are only two camera perspectives. A behind the car and on the bumper. I would have wanted at least one more which is positioned a little further behind the car, because a large SUV blocks some of your view. All in all these shortcomings, however, are not significant, because the title makes a lot of fun.\r

My conclusion:\r
Need for Speed: Most Wanted is the first iOS Need for Speed title that has really convinced me. The developers have delivered one of the best arcade racers for iOS. What I liked a lot, if youre logged into EAs Gamecenter alternative Origin you get the results of your friends displayed directly after each race event. So you can compare to you directly and are always willing to set up a better time to show your buddy, who is the true Need for Speed King. In addition: The controls of Need for Speed: Most Wanted are really accurate and the graphics look excellent. Those who want a really great racing experience for their iOS device should invest € 5.99 or 6,99 Dollars for the universal app. Please write me in the comments how you like the game and if it meets your expectations. Thank you for watching and see you next time. \r
