Marathon runner left paralysed on scuba diving holiday seeks £50,000 compensation

A young marathon runner was left paralysed from the waist down with permanent spinal damage after a scuba diving trip of a lifetime turned into a nightmare.

Amy Stone, 28, surfaced from a training dive with "the worst migraine imaginable” at a 5* Indonesian resort - and claims instructors said she was 'just tired'.

They failed to notice she was suffering tell-tale signs of 'the bends' - potentially-fatal nitrogen bubbles had formed in her blood - and encouraged her to go back into the water two days later.
