Firefighters rescue hapless horse that slipped on ice and plunged into swimming pool
  • 5 years ago
This is the bizarre moment firefighters winched a horse to safety – after the animal slipped on an ice patch and plunged into a SWIMMING POOL.

The five-year-old chestnut was stranded in icy waters in the freak accident when it toppled into the 6ft-deep outdoor pool at around 8.50am on Thursday (14/12).

Ten firefighters spent two hours pumping the water out before a Technical Rescue Unit was brought in to winch the soaking animal to safety.

A local farmer also used his forklift truck to help lift the horse out of the pool at a property on Castlehill Road, Walsall Wood, West Mids.
