Thieves use stolen car ram raid shop to steal fags and cash, leaving £20K of damage

Shocked shop owner Mahmood Hassan, 44, said he was "gobsmacked" after the raid at Blackford Post Office, Edinburgh, around 3.20am on Tuesday. It is believed that eight thugs where in the black 4x4 which they used to ram-raid the shop before entering the premises and making off with a haul of goods and cash. Mr Hassan said it was the fourth robbery to hit the store on Blackford Avenue in less than a decade.
