A courageous soldier who suffered 37pc burns in Iraq has completed 126 marathons for charity since 2007. Private Karl Hinett, was set alight when a mob attacked his armoured car near Basra while he was serving with the Staffordshire Regiment in 2005. The brave 18-year-old emerged from the vehicle covered in flames where he collapsed and was carried to an ambulance by his colleagues. After being sent back to the UK, Karl had his last operation in 2010 at Selly Oak Hospital, Birmingham and set himself a challenge.
