Polly the escaping parrot who can undo her own cage

A missing parrot that learnt to open its own cage caused chaos at a secondary school after it was discovered in treetops screeching the name MICK JAGGER.The three-year-old African grey parrot, called Polly turned up in the grounds of New Market College, Cambs., after escaping from its owners cage.Lessons were interrupted when pupils heard the bizarre bird chattering, whistling and repeating the name of the Rolling Stones front man.Amazingly the clever creature managed to untie a tight knot holding its cage door in place and flew to the school - which is ironically where its owner Rod Suttle, 67, used to work. The father-of-one, who was eventually called to the school by a caretaker, spent three hours trying to coax his beloved pet down from the treetops after it had been missing for 24 hours.
