The foreign ministry launched a safety center for overseas Korean nationals.
It's expected to operate 24/7, monitoring accidents and events that could affect Koreans residing abroad.
Featuring a hotline service, the center will provide real-time safety measures and guidelines as well as support to victims and their families in times of need.
The launch of this facility falls in line with President Moon Jae-in's efforts to boost safety measures and protection for citizens living abroad.
