A memorial service was held on Wednesday to mark the ninth anniversary of the late president Roh Moo-hyun's death.
It took place in Bongha Village in Gyeongsangnam-do Province -- the former leader's hometown and where he was laid to rest.
In a memorial address,... National Assembly Speaker Chung Sye-kyun... said that Roh is remembered for his efforts to eliminate regionalism and establish peace on the Peninsula.
Roh Moo-hyun... served as the nation's president from 2003 to 2008.
