A solder station / third hand thats easy on the eyes.\r

Ive been using this slate tile for years to protect my desk and work bench when soldering or doing hot work, but it by itself was hard on surfaces as well. In my hunt for a third hand or helping hand, I came across these coolant lines and thought it was a perfect solution and an easy way to make a custom soldering station. \r

It started off simple, but got much more complicated as I went. Walnut veneer over pine, CNC router cut spool cavities, 2 long outer arms with clips, 1 shorter centre arm with a neodymium magnet to hold tools or a flashlight. The base was scrap 5/8s MDF and I hid that with a mitred walnut frame. The \r
