Mai Thai the Elephant Celebrates 45th Birthday at Cincinnati Zoo

Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden celebrated Mai Thai the elephant’s 45th birthday by giving her presents and bamboo sticks on May 1.A clip shared to the zoo’s Facebook page shows Mai Thai chomping down on some bamboo sticks and showing interest in a number of presents in front of an excited crowd at the zoo’s elephant reserve.Mai Thai can be seen eating a cardboard box, which won’t cause her harm, according to a zoo employee speaking during the clip.The video had earned over 52,000 views at the time of writing.
