"Sand Marathon" sets off in Moroccan desert

The 33nd edition of the "Marathon des Sables" ("Sand Marathon"), one of the toughest races on earth, sets off in southern Morocco, with hundreds of participants taking on the Saharan dunes over more than 250 kilometers despite the scorching heat.
