U.S. Marines with Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, provide Tactical Recovery of Aircraft and Personnel (TRAP) capability to the Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Crisis Response - Central Command 16.2, during their deployment to the Central Command area of responsibility.

TRAP is a Marine Corps mission performed by an assigned and briefed aircrew for the specific purpose of the recovery of personnel, equipment, and/or aircraft when the tactical situation precludes search and rescue assets from responding and when survivors and their location have been confirmed.

SPMAGTF-CR-CC is a crisis response unit that has the ability to project combat power over vast distances using organic aviation, logistical and ground combat assets.
