How to Get Rid of Fire Ants without Chemicals

We had an enormous fire ant colony just on the other side of the garden fence. This was a public garden, and children frequented the area. So I had to find a way to get rid of the fire ants WITHOUT using chemicals. \r
Boiling hot water worked amazingly well. how in the world did chemical sprays for ants ever make a profit? \r
You have to get the HOT water all the way down to the queen ant, otherwise the remaining worker ants will just move the queen 15 or 20 feet away and build a new nest. and youve still got a fire ant problem. This worked really well. Incredibly well, ually. We search about 25 feet in all directions from the original nest site and found nothing. Success! \r
(And now all the kids that visit the garden will be safe!)\r
