PRESENTED BY MATT FIELD
Renegade folk cellist and singer-songwriter Monique Clare burst onto the scene in 2017, launching her debut EP as Folk Alliance Artist of the Year. She weaves earthy cello and powerful vocals in a performance that dances between darkness and light.
Her diverse career has taken her as far as Afghanistan as a performer and educator, and the USA on a grant-funded professional development tour; she's led patrons up the Glass House Mountains for mountain-top sunrise concerts; and in her secret life as a classical cellist, she performed in the Australian Youth Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House.
